This Privacy Policy explains how Typezz (Mian Akbar Jan, “Typezz,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Typezz mobile app and related services (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

a) Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a unique identifier from the sign-in provider you choose (Apple, Google, or email). We do not store passwords when you sign in with Apple or Google.

b) Captures and classifications

The text and voice transcripts you submit for classification (“captures”) are stored in your account along with the category, extracted metadata (dates, amounts, titles), and timestamps. You can delete any capture at any time from within the app.

c) Device and usage data

We collect basic technical information — app version, operating system, device model, crash reports, and aggregate usage metrics — to diagnose issues and improve the Service.

d) Subscription and payment information

Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive a receipt identifier and subscription status from the store.

2. How we use information

• Classify captures and deliver the core Service functionality.
• Sync events and reminders to your device calendar / reminders on Pro.
• Authenticate you and protect your account.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
• Diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.

3. Third-party processors

We rely on a small set of trusted vendors to operate the Service:

• Google Firebase (authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions) — stores account data and captures.
• AI classification provider — processes the text of a capture transiently to return a category and extracted metadata. Your captures are not used to train third-party models.
• Apple and Google — handle Sign-In, subscription billing, and receipt validation.

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your captures, classifications, and account metadata within 30 days. Limited records may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in-app. For any other request, email us at privacy@typezz.app.

6. Children

Typezz is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, strict access controls, and regularly review our security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access.

8. International transfers

Typezz is operated from [JURISDICTION]. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from your own.

9. Changes to this policy
